Please stop creating categories

This wiki has a policy that new category pages shouldn't be created without discussion. Many of the categories you've been creating are inappropriate for the wiki, either because they cover a very large proportion of languages, or alternatively because they are too small to be useful. (Ideally, once a category has been created, all the appropriate languages should be added to it – but with many of your categories this would be a waste of effort, because the resulting category page wouldn't be of any help in finding useful information.) --ais523 02:04, 13 April 2024 (UTC)

That doesn't matter – having a nicer user page is not a good reason to break the law (and in general there is no reason why people need nice user pages here at all). --ais523 02:06, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

I've temporarily blocked you for a) immediately reuploading an image after I explained why you couldn't do that, and b) attempting to hide what you were doing (via misleading edit summaries, and uploading an a different image and then replacing it with the reuploaded image). It's a temporary block, it'll be gone in a couple of days (and working out good documentation for an esolang can take longer than that anyway – sometimes it takes me years). I think it's common practice to immediately fully block people who are continuing to violate copyright despite warnings – the wiki could get in trouble if people are using it illegally and we don't stop them. --ais523 02:16, 25 August 2024 (UTC)

i agree with mihaieso here. you should block him from the file namespace only. even though my previous incarnation i forgot my password to uploaded copyrighted pictures, i didnt even get blocked anywhere! it was for nice, btw. he reuploaded it ONLY TWICE because HE WANTED A PRETTY USERPAGE, and BARELY broke copyright law. i suggest a file namespace 48-hour block. one day for one reupload. tommyaweosme 14:05, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
