I made this page both for that reason and mainly to round up the constant languages for people who want to put this with Constant language and for people looking for constant languages to implement. Also would that mean that the directory page would inherit the categories of its inhabitants? I'm pretty sure that's part of the plan in Esolang:2026 topicality proposal, merge similar pages (like constant languages) into larger pages. Although one thing I'm confused about is whether this should go to Constant language or a sub-page of that or a List of constant languages page, especially if it turns out that there's a lot of constant languages that we're not finding.

However, I guess for now we go with the first one, smashing this directory at the bottom of Constant language. I just realized that some of these Permission denied, Nope. (which according to User:Corbin should be converted into a program form, which I agree with), Segmentation fault, and Rube Goldberg all have a list of implementations. I imagine that the best format for this sort of thing would be a table. You could create an "implementations" column that was just a list of short-format links (that look like this: [1] and thus are easy to fit into a table). --ais523 19:12, 29 August 2026 (UTC)

You could link back to the wiki when doing that, but normally an external hosting service is better, especially because most such programs are either going to need a nontrivial amount of code (if the constant output is hard to calculate) or be so trivial there's no point in writing an implementation (e.g. constant-output languages that do a hello world). --ais523 19:18, 29 August 2026 (UTC)
