I think using images in signatures is a bad idea anyway – they break up the flow of the page and increase the line spacing, in addition to making the pages slower to load. Text-based signatures work much better for actual communication. --ais523 16:13, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

But it makes it cooler because you can apply effects to your image-based signature like blur, pixelate, crystallize, shadows, neon! Heck, you can have your own face in it! So much cooler than "text-based signatures". Heck, User:Tommyaweosme and mine uses image-based signatures (mine was using text-based signatures, and now I'm using image-based ones)! 16:21, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

You should probably read what Wikipedia has to say on the subject. (I think we generally have a principle of using Wikipedia's rules by default unless there is some reason for this wiki to be different, and I don't see a reason to be different here.) In particular, having "cool signatures" doesn't really fit very well with the idea behind the wiki, which is to document esoteric programming languages. --ais523 16:27, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

Not so a problem anymore because I optimized my images with PNGout and both are ~40% smaller than previous (instead of ~7 KB, it's now ~4 KB!). Faster loading and downloading even on a 56k modem or ISDN! 16:31, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

I know other users have said this already, but I may as well make it formal: please stop edit warring – if you're repeatedly making a change and a range of other users are reverting you each time, there is probably a good reason for that, and if you continue to try to make the edit, there is a risk that you may be blocked. It is sometimes possible to discuss the change (e.g. on the appropriate talk page) to gain a consensus about what change should be made (although in this case I am not convinced that it would help). --ais523 15:53, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
