Uploading non-public-domain images
Unfortunately, we can't host images here if they are copyrighted, even if you give credit to the author. There are two basic requirements to be able to host an image: plagiarism (i.e. it's wrong to host an image without crediting who created it) and copyright (i.e. it's illegal to host an image if you violate the author's copyright). Your recent image uploads were fine on the first restriction, but not the second: all content on this wiki has to be public domain, which means that it can't be copyrighted at all, and images are copyrighted by default when they're created (so in general the only way to legally upload an image to the wiki is if the uploader creates it from scratch and chooses to remove the copyright from it, e.g. because they were creating it for the wiki). --ais523 21:24, 15 November 2025 (UTC)
