Nice catch, thanks. It seems like, in general, there are many languages which embed a copy of deadfish, so we could map deadfish into those languages; but for a TDS we care about the mapping from those languages into deadfish. Corbin (talk) 16:14, 17 August 2026 (UTC)

I don't see the point to customizing output characters. For halt commands, note that we can always turn five-command deadfish into four-command deadfish by truncating the program at the first halt command; it's not a real command but a marker to stop reading input.
