uuh, i think that rasputin's lyrics are copyrighted, and therefore, cant be used on this wiki --dragoneater67 talk contribs (mobile) 04:07, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
Wait are short phrases copyrightable? I thought they weren’t? If so then “Never Gonna Fuck You Up”, being a Esolang here, also shouldn’t be here due to Never Gonna Give You Up being copyrighted. — A random guy contribs (mobile) 04:07, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
- this page includes most of the lyrics, so its copyright infringement --dragoneater67 talk contribs 11:46, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
- Never Gonna Fuck You Up is also copyright infirngement (didnt get caught earlier) --dragoneater67 talk contribs 11:47, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
- Does Fair Use count? I did work hard on it honestly. I can try to trim down things if you want. — A random guy contribs (mobile) 12:54 PM, 10 September 2026 (UTC)
- no it doesnt, all content must be public domain, this page should be moved to a different place where non-public domain works are allowed --dragoneater67 talk contribs (mobile) 08:01, 13 September 2026 (UTC)
- Is ArnoldC also a copyright violation then? --None1 (Nope.) 10:52, 13 September 2026 (UTC)
- How long does a text need to be to become copyrighted, if there's no lower bound the simply using the word "the" might be copyright violation because there's at least one copyrighted article with the word "the" in it. --None1 (Nope.) 10:49, 13 September 2026 (UTC)
- both cases are quite unambiguous: most of the lyrics are used, which is copyright violation --dragoneater67 talk contribs (mobile) 11:46, 13 September 2026 (UTC)
- What if it for example, only used 1 line? Would that be copyright infringement? What if I said “I’m Bad!”, does that violate Micheal Jackson’s song “Bad”? None1 has a point here. — A random guy contribs (mobile) 03:51, 14 September 2026 (UTC)
- that doesnt matter, youre using more than 1 line --dragoneater67 talk contribs 15:59, 14 September 2026 (UTC)
