The text is GPL licensed AND written by myself. I am the creator of MechaniQue (Gabor). Sorry for posting without being logged in properly. I created the text both for this WIKI and my personal website on MechaniQue/J.

The problem is that all content on Esolang is licenced as public domain; the GPL places (minor) restrictions on redistribution and relicensing, and so is incompatible with a public domain dedication (which doesn't place any restrictions at all, not even on relicensing or incorporation into a commercial work without credit). See Esolang:Copyrights for more detail. --ais523 13:03, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
(Note that licencing a description of a language under the public domain doesn't prevent its source code being under some other licence; a public-domain description with a link to a GPL interpreter is acceptable. Also, paraphrasing a description of the language can create a distinct version for copyright purposes, as long as it doesn't copy directly.) --ais523 13:07, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Okay so I suppose you accept my current solution? If not, please tell me what I should do to comply with the rules of this WIKI.
Don't worry, the current version's fine, and you can have the language in the language list (the descriptions have to be public-domain, but the language itself can be under any licence). Hope that helps! (I'll copy this to both your IP and username talk pages.) --ais523 17:32, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
