Snowman causing problems

I am currently using an iPod Touch. When I zoom in on the snowman on your page, my device freezes and causes other glitches afterward. Was this meant to happen, or is it a problem on my side?--72.18.49.91 02:46, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Although it hasn't caused any further problems that I can see, zooming the page doesn't look nice in my browser either, or for that matter in the edit preview when I looked at the code. The picture is made using absolute positioning hacks, I guess that causes the problems. --Ørjan 06:56, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Wow, er — not intended at all. The HTML code is a pretty huge and gross hack and I'm not surprised that your browser choked on it, but if you kept seeing glitches after closing the page, I'm not sure what to blame. Perhaps your phone ran out of RAM? Sorry to hear it, anyway. I suggest not zooming in on the snowman. :) —ehird 03:20, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Server admin

Hiya. Who administers this wiki installation? Is there any way to get in touch with someone? Thanks :) — Timwi 18:45, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Re: Spam

He replied, and said that he didn't have time to administer the wiki any more, and wondered if someone else might like to host it instead. I fear we're stuck for now… --ais523 00:00, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Well, that works, I guess :) --ais523 21:09, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

"this category doesn't exist, so it shouldn't need a page"

Just noticed this. How is the existence of a category determined? The times I've created category pages on this and other MW wikis, and added pages into them, I was never aware that the category remained nonexistent nonetheless. — Smjg (talk) 19:16, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Category:Shameful has special non-existence powers. HTH. --Ørjan 20:20, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Well, it wasn't created through the discussion process, and all categories must only be created after discussion. Therefore, it clearly doesn't exist :) —ehird 20:52, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
So how many of the year categories actually exist? — Smjg (talk) 12:57, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
All of them. The idea of a category for each year was approved in this discussion. —Maharba 17:33, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
