Szewczyk who?

It would be reasonable to guess that the name of this notation comes from it being named after its inventor and its inventor was someone with the surname Szewczyk, but can someone confirm this? And if that's the case, is there any more information available on who Szewczyk is or was, and when they invented this notation? Web searches like "szewczyk minksy", "szewczyk notation", "szewczyk code" seem to mostly return this same article as the top hit, followed by an assortment of web pages that I can only assume are unrelated (such as the Wikipedia article on the professional pool player Wojciech Szewczyk). --Chris Pressey (talk) 14:19, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
