Did I use the right derivative symbol?

The sorts of integral that are being used here are a bit unusual (differentiating one function with respect to another function of the same variable). As such, I'm unclear on whether dx or ∂x is more mathematically correct (and used the latter because it's a lot easier to parse). However, if the notation is wrong, I'd want to fix it. Any mathematicians out there able to answer this? --ais523 19:10, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

Is this an error?

y = ∫y+y ∂x @1 # if x@0, then y = e**2x
y y y x 0

Based on the text, I feel like that 1 on the first line was supposed to be a 0, but I'm not sure if I misunderstood something. --Quintopia (talk)

It was an error, but it was the second line that was wrong. (e0=1, so in order to get the desired relationship between x and y, we want x@0 but y@1.) --ais523 07:00, 30 April 2022 (UTC)
