Hot - Truth-machine

Your example doesn't have IO combinators. Does it work? Regarding an interpreter: I'm going to make it soon. --Blashyrkh (talk) 12:31, 12 October 2026 (UTC)

I haven't analyzed the program so I can't be fully sure, but the IO is presumably done using the implicit application of F. It's kind of unclear on the page whether or not you're allowed to use combinators other than S and K within the program itself (the Truth-machine in the original Hot page doesn't use them, but it's not explicitly forbidden). –PkmnQ (talk) 12:36, 12 October 2026 (UTC)
I think it is not allowed, so I won't use them either. Cleverxia (talk) 13:37, 12 October 2026 (UTC)
Yup, they are probably not intended to be used. I'll remove them from my interpreter's parse() function. --Blashyrkh (talk) 17:22, 12 October 2026 (UTC)
if only the interpreter supports unlambda notation then the program can be shortened considerably...Cleverxia (talk) 13:38, 12 October 2026 (UTC)
https://gist.github.com/rs-blashyrkh/0d3591d6b9a3e9f9eed367430da52ea7. Your Truth-machine hangs, the author's is fine. --Blashyrkh (talk) 14:31, 12 October 2026 (UTC)
Unlambda notation is at most 25% shorter than CC. Certainly not "considerably". --Blashyrkh (talk) 15:08, 13 October 2026 (UTC)

typo in brainflak column

it should be Brain-Flak, not Brain-flak --dragoneater67 [talk|contribs] 14:24, 12 October 2026 (UTC)

I'm absolutely not going to fix it. Cleverxia (talk) 14:26, 12 October 2026 (UTC)
oh ye, redirects exist! --dragoneater67 [talk|contribs] 14:27, 12 October 2026 (UTC)
