the documentation for this is very vague:

• how exactly does this update? like, in what order should each command be processed?
  • should all changes take place after each command is ran or as they're being executed?
• ()( ( in a case like this, would the right parenthesis ) copy to the right? and what would happen to the right-most parenthesis?
• for the newline rule, does this mean that a () pair would both copy itself to the right and below at the same time? for something like:

• ()(
  ()

• what exactly is the order of each rule?

I know this is quite vague, however ive never really bothered to fix it because I dont care about that much anymore, however, since your asking, I will try and clear it up. Below are your answers:

• "how exactly does this update? like, in what order should each command be processed?" This is written on the page now, top to bottom left to right
• "()( ( in a case like this, would the right parenthesis ) copy to the right? and what would happen to the right-most parenthesis?" because of the evaluation order, the interpreter wouldnt career about the rightmost symbol, and as such it would be overwritten.
• "for the newline rule, does this mean that a () pair would both copy itself to the right and below at the same time?" yes!
• "what exactly is the order of each rule?" they are evaluated as they are listed.
