Apollo cheese is an esoteric programming language made by User:Dragoneater67 in 2026.
Overview
The program is a sequence of instructions executed left-to-right in an implicit infinite loop. There are 2 queues of bytes and an accumulator that also stores a byte. Both queues are initially empty. Dequeueing an empty queue halts the program. Only 1 queue can be active at a time.
| Instruction | Description |
|---|---|
+ |
Increment the accumulator. |
^ |
Enqueue the accumulator to the active queue. |
/ |
Set the currently inactive queue active (the currently active queue becomes inactive). |
% |
Dequeue a byte from the active queue and (re)define an instruction assigned to that byte, the contents of the inactive queue become the code of the instruction, then the inactive queue gets emptied. |
> |
Dequeue a byte from the active queue and output it as an ASCII character. |
< |
Input an ASCII character and enqueue it to the active queue as a byte. |
| Everything else | Do nothing. |
