Esolang talk:Bulletin Board
This seems like something of a vanity page akin to language list and should probably be moved to the main namespace. There is also an existing featured-article process documented at esolang:featured languages which might interest you. Corbin (talk) 21:04, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
This isn't actually an esolang, so the namespace is probably correct. But I'm not sure that the page itself is useful – trying to make it easier for people to find good/interesting esolangs is a worthy goal, but doing it by letting authors advertise won't accomplish the goal, because it'll select for the esolangs with the most self-promotional authors rather than the esolangs that are most worth reading. --ais523 19:13, 1 August 2025 (UTC)

- Well, i will create my own bulletin board Qazwsxplm (talk) 23:02, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
- a) adverts aren't very useful if nobody would read them (and basically nobody is using this page); b) the best way to advertise your esolangs is likely to provide enough information, context, tools, example programs, etc. that people get interested in them. (But in general we'd prefer people to see the best-quality esolangs than the most-advertised esolangs, so explicit advertising isn't something we really want to support.) I would advise against trying to create your own version of a deleted page unless you understand why it was deleted and avoid the problems it had (but in this case the problems are likely unfixable). --ais523 23:03, 13 April 2026 (UTC)
