Vigil is an esoteric programming language similar to Python, created by Bob Nystrom, aka munificent in 2013.
Its primary distinguishing feature is its supreme moral vigilance. Using swear and implore, functions may specify what they accept and return. Non-compliant functions are automatically deleted from the source file.
