Hi, and welcome to Esolang! While I appreciate your enthusiasm and contributions, please do not make additions or changes to the featured languages process without consensus. Featuring the newest languages might well be what the community at large wants, but it's best to discuss such things on the relevant talk pages instead of just adding them.

Additionally, please be careful about making changes to the Main Page; as it's a very high visibility page, it's best to test layout changes that could break with the wiki's preview button, or by testing changes in a subpage of your user page, before making them live. Move of TLWNN

Hi. I've reverted your move of TLWNN because it causes usability problems (such as being unable to click the page name on Special:RecentChanges, and being difficult to create a link to). (Besides, neither of the titles you moved it to were blank; they both consisted of single characters, just ones that most browsers don't display.) It's best for articles on languages to be at the name they're most commonly referred to by (e.g. the article on Homespring isn't at HOtMEfSPRIbNG), unless there's a compelling reason for them to be named something else. Again, please discuss such things on the relevant talk pages in future; it's easier for everyone if changes like this are agreed on beforehand. —ehird 11:56, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

Temporary block

Don't run bots without first testing them locally, and then asking an administrator for permission to run them. Because of their editing speed and automation, they can cause rapid, difficult-to-revert destruction on a wiki, meaning they should be used with caution and permission only.

In light of the potential damage a malfunctioning bot could cause, and as this is the third time you've acted without consensus, requiring others to intervene, I've blocked you from editing for a day, as per a previous private discussion with another administrator. This isn't a punishment – just to make sure that the unauthorised bot doesn't go haywire when an administrator isn't around to prevent it, and to make sure it doesn't happen again.

You'll still be able to edit this talk page for the block period to reply. Our rules are pretty lax here, and plenty of people manage to edit happily without any problems. I just want to ask you to think this before you edit: "Is there a chance people might disagree with what I'm doing? Might it cause disruption or problems for others if I make a mistake?" If the answer to either of those is yes, please consult the community or an administrator before doing it. It'll make things a lot easier for everyone. Others have expressed their concern about your actions to me; they'd be a lot less concerned if you discussed them first. —ehird 15:32, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
