NO NETWORK ENGLISH SLANG![1]

By PSTF

Why do I hate network English slang?

First, it is too irregular, and it didn't conform the standard English grammar. But on Internet, they often use it, and they even don't feel it's "wrong" from the English!

Then, it is too informal. It is not suitable for use in all kinds of scientific literature, professional texts or official texts, and I often write them, of course most of them are introducing Esolangs.

Third, it is not good for under-18. In the United States Of America, the network abbreviations are banned to say.

Some common abbreviations that are only used on the web

  1. LOL -> Laughing out loudly -> Laughing -> :D
  2. LMAO -> Laughing my @$$ off -> Convulsed.
  3. GTFO -> Get the f凵匸k off -> "Forcefully" or even "rudely" order a person or group of people to leave.
  4. YR -> Your
  5. BTW -> By the way -> This usually means that something that doesn't have much to do with the topic will be mentioned or used as a comment.
  6. ROFL -> Rolling on the floor laughing -> It's an exaggeration to describe encountering something or people that is extremely funny (who might roll on the floor with laughter!).
  7. ROFLMAO -> The hybrid of ROFL and LMAO, It is often used to describe encountering something that is too funny to describe in words.
  8. OIC -> Oh, I see. -> It is used to indicate that an unknown thing has been understood.
  9. THX -> Thanks
  10. KTHX -> Ok, thanks.
  11. OMG -> Oh my God! -> It is often used to indicate that you have seen something extremely shocking.

  13. PLZ -> Please
  14. U -> You
  15. Kinda -> Kind of

All sorts of spelling mistakes
