Tetolang is a esolang that is a collab between User:A random guy, User:raiseafloppafan7741, and User:Dragoneater67. This esolang was made to be a rival to MikuLang, despite being different types of programming languages.

Overview

The program uses a grid of cells for memory. On the grid is Kasane Teto herself, who acts as a cell pointer. The program itself is a newline-separated list of commands. She starts out pointing at the nearest baguette. And just like Befunge, she HAS to always move in a direction. And one more thing, she just prints from right to left instead of left to right, JUST to make things confusing.

TetoLang Cells
Cell type Description
The Chimera herself which acts like a pointer and she can do actions!
🥖 When this is in Teto’s sight in any orthogonal direction, Teto goes to the nearest baguette and moves constantly towards it to munch on it and be happi. (Make it only visual, it doesn’t do much) This is used to make Teto go from one place to another. If there is 2 baguettes of equal distance to her, then she goes to the nearest one that requires the least amount of actions, (Like if she was facing downwards and there was a baguette in front and behind her, she would go to the one in front) but if both baguettes take the same amount of actions to go to, Teto becomes indecisive and gives a error. Whenever Teto eats a baguette, her image changes into a image of her eating a baguette before becoming normal on the next move.
🎤 Allows the user to input any character or number they want into the cell with this emoji, with the same rules that we have for assigning numbers, emojis, and strings. (Add a + like this (🎤+) to make it so that if it is in a loop, it prompts a user to do a input every time.
(Character) Literally what it is. Teto can do things with this. (Put quotations around 🥖 to indicate that it is something you can print, and put quotations around numbers to indicate that it is a string, not a number, same for spaces, to make it know the difference between a empty cell and a space character cell.)
(Number) What else do you think is it?

Program format

This section is still a work in progress. It may be changed in the future.

A TetoLang program consists of two components: the initial grid layout and the instructions. The instructions are laid out with one instruction per line.

The grid is a grid, just like how the floor is the floor. Hmm, yes interesting.

Commands

TetoLang Commands
Command Description
Sing Makes Teto output whatever is in the cell, if there is a character or number, else, it will give you an error telling you that Teto forgot her line.
Improvise to (New character) Replaces a cell with whatever character you want. You can also make it blank by making the new character be “[ ]”.
Mesmerize (Amount of times) A for loop.
Demesmerize (Line #) Ends a selected Mesmerize statement.
Perform to (Line # (Has to be a Mesmerize command ONLY.)) Puts the value of a cell Teto’s on into the next Mesmerize command. This makes the Mesmerize command you select no longer need the number of times to loop beside it.
Cheer up (Line), (0/1) Checks if a value is negative, if so, it activates a line in the program and continues off of that. (0 means it checks for 0 too, 1 mean that it doesn’t)
Mischief (Line) (0/1) Same as Cheer Up but it checks if the value is positive instead.
Write Puts the cell Teto is on into her memory.
Sit Adds cell with whatever is in Teto’s memory. (If it is a number, else she gives a error.)
Get off Subtracts cell with whatever is in Teto’s memory. (If it is a number, else she gives a error.)
Chud Makes Teto stay at the cell she is on in the next line of code, making her not move to the next cell closer to the closest baguette for that line before continuing (unless there is a Chud command after the next one after the current.)
Bake Allows Teto bake a baguette at a cell she’s on, the cell has to be empty or else it gives you a error telling you that Teto unable to legally bake baguettes here.
Redo Go back to the start of the program.
Expand Teto Territory Extend the grid in all 4 directions by 1 cell, the new cells will be initialized to baguettes.
Sleep Halt the program.

Comments are done with # which extends until the end of the line.
