so do y’all think this notation is better than the 7-tuple notation? —c./.o./.r./.d./.e./.r./.s./.h./.i./.p(1and0nlycordershippr) (talk) 01:42, 1 November 2026 (UTC)

What's the 7-tuple notation? I only really know the bbchallenge notation, e.g. the two examples would be 1RB1LA_0LA0RB for the binary counter and 1RB1LC_1RC1RB_1RD0LE_1LA1LD_1RZ0LA for the BB(5) champion. –PkmnQ (talk) 05:27, 1 November 2026 (UTC)
Just read this: [[1]]. I know the bbchallenge notation too, for example 1RB1LA_0LA1RB, where A is s1 and B is s2.
So...
1RB1LA_0LA0RB
At State A (s1),
if tape head is 0, paint 1 and go right. Turn to State B.
if tape head is 1, paint 1 and go left. Turn to State A.
At State B (s2),
if tape head is 0, paint 0 and go left. Turn to State A.
if tape head is 1, paint 0 and go right. Turn to State B.

Expressed in PTMN:
s1:
    v0>1R>s2
    v1>1L>s1
s2:
    v0>0L>s1
    v1>0R>s2
