Talk:Noise automata
How is this different from IFSs or DDSs? I'm interested in the concept as described but need to see examples. Corbin (talk) 14:49, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
There might be a little bit of banter on this topic. But NAs don’t have to rely on the output of the last generation (but they are allowed to). A Noise automata is essentially just a 2D function. Where the NA part comes in is how it is utilized to “compute”, you have some output space and you need to search it for your desired function. Any function that is more than one dimension can be used as an NA. So while they aren’t specifically IFSs they work very similarly. (Note: I did want to add something about how NAs can stop at multiple different generations to give multiple outputs but that over complicates the 2D function metaphor, not sure if that fact changes anything)=--RainbowDash (talk) 21:56, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
