I think the example is incorrect. 0x41 * 0x69 = 0x1AA9, while 0x41 * 0x45 (which is decimal 69) = 0x1185. I am not sure which version is intended by the creator. The result in the example can be reproduced by multiplying decimal 41 and 69, which is not usable for any hexadez numbers with letters. (I have no idea how the second example could possibly be reproduced, and honestly, my head is already spinning)
