Talk:German

Well, the idea is quite nice, but it could be improved a lot. First of all, "German" is not German based. "Schnitzel" is of course the same word in English and German, but in German "BEER" is derived from "Beere" meaning "berry" (additionally accept "Bier"). That might be confusing for Bavarians trying to program in their every day conversation. Moreover, all nouns are capitalised in written German.

Then there are some more features of written German which could be applied to the programming language in order to decrease readability. German makes use of compound nouns, which can be almost infinite long. So don't use whitespace. In general, I suggest a stack language because of German having the verb in last position in subordinate clauses and in "impersonal" appeals. The best example for this can be read on many signs: "Aufzug im Brandfall nicht benutzen" - literally: "Elevator in Fire-case not use".

If you are willing to implement such stuff and need further inspiration, read Mark Twain's texts about learning German :)

German compiler in German doesn't work

I compiled it but the file seems to be truncated or something.

And huge kudos for that hello world program! A 62-byte ELF is pretty nifty!
