- it cannot be proven any more than the claim that "there are no such things as 30-foot-long, flying, fire-breathing donkeys" can be proven.
I find this clause troubling; the rest of the article doesn't take the view that the Church-Turing thesis is stating the maximum computational power that can be constructed in this universe, instead offering a more platonic view of things; as such, this logic only follows if one is a strict constructivist. Maybe insert reader name here is, but our article on something so fundamental probably shouldn't only make sense if you are. —ehird 11:38, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
