A ganguine is a self-reproducing object which stochastically tends to produce copies of itself. A ganguine might produce itself at a fixed uniform rate or it might generate a self-steering context which tends to make copies of itself more likely. Ganguines are named after artist wikipedia:Paul Gauguin.[1]
