Donald E. Knuth is a legend who is writing the bible The Art of Computer Programming. Programming languages connected to him include:
- He designed the MIX (Knuth) computer and the MIXAL assembler to give example programs in the bible.
- He desgined the newer MMIX computer and the MMIXAL assembler to replace MIX.
- He designed Gb_gates RISC to build a CPU from individual logic gates.
- He didn't design PL/MIX.
- He popularized an earlier computational model called 1.1.
