This probably should've been named something like "Category:Collaborative languages" or "Category:Collaboratively-developed languages". Esolang:2026 topicality proposal will bring some changes that will make this category obsolete as these languages will have to be developed off the wiki. (That is not the same as banning collaboratively-developed languages from the wiki, they would still be allowed but must be developed off the wiki, something something "it is pointing to the moon and not the moon itself" stuff like that) ——【AnalysisOfVariance | raiseafloppafan7741 mag-usap tayo【past life・投稿】【▼(°v°)▼・▼(°ʌ°)▼】 17:38, 9 October 2026 (UTC)
- If the user-edited/collaboratively developed language restriction in the topicality proposal becomes official, then I wouldn’t say this category would become obsolete. It restricts such activity from the wiki itself, not banning documentation of user-edited languages. hotcrystal0
- Yeah good point I could've worded that better, I guess what I meant was that "user-edited" is kind of confusing if the collaboration area moves off-wiki since now we can bring in people who aren't on the wiki, which is why I think renaming this to "Collaboratively-developed languages" instead of just "user-edited" would be a good idea. ——【AnalysisOfVariance | raiseafloppafan7741 mag-usap tayo】【past life・投稿】【▼(°v°)▼・▼(°ʌ°)▼】 19:46, 9 October 2026 (UTC)
- I support the renaming, just so everyone knows, though I don’t think admin action should be taken against any of the languages in this category until the topicality proposal is actually adopted. hotcrystal0 19:52, 9 October 2026 (UTC)
