Hello, I'm Wyatt James, a developer with a keen interest in esoteric programming languages. I enjoy exploring languages that take unusual approaches to computation, from stack-based and string-rewriting systems to languages built around jokes, puzzles, or deliberately awkward constraints. Reading a clear specification, trying a small program, and working out why it behaves as it does is, for me, one of the best ways to understand programming language design more generally.
I hope to contribute to Esolang by making careful formatting fixes, tidying pages so examples and explanations are easier to follow, updating event and schedule pages where information has changed, and cross-checking details against language descriptions and examples. I am especially interested in helping new readers find their way around, whether they are looking for a first language to try or a deeper explanation of an existing one. I am happy to discuss changes, learn from more experienced contributors, and improve my own understanding as I go.
Outside programming, I enjoy basketball and follow the Los Angeles Lakers. I keep a small personal schedule page at Los Angeles Lakers schedule. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to contributing here.
