Contest controller

I might try and make a simple offline controller in python. Hey, that's a good meme! JonoCode9374 (talk) 08:47, 1 August 2019 (UTC)

I thought no one will try to look at this page. Does Deadfish Joust look fun? ---- Try ?^_(:"" in Keg! -- A (talk) 09:47, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
Now I am thinking of implementing this controller in Keg. ---- Try ?^_(:"" in Keg! -- A (talk) 13:39, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
Deadfish Joust does indeed look fun. Turns out you beat me to making the controller in python (what a difference timezones can make) -- pretty hard to code while having to sleep. Hey, that's a good meme! JonoCode9374 (talk) 02:56, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
I can't fall asleep when I did not finish my things. --A (talk) 04:37, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

Strategy

Can't whoever gets a lower target number just run a single "d" instruction and automatically win? Treeplate (talk) 00:25, 31 January 2026 (UTC)

Hmm, thinking more about this, this doesn't work if contestant B has the lower number, because if contestant A starts with an s or q, 0 - 1 = -1 which mod 256 is 255, and contestant a would win, but this still works if contestant A has the lower number. Though if contestant B has the lower number, and if A doesn't have the number 1, contestant B can just use a single "q" instruction, which accomplishes a similar result. Implementation optimizations

What's the point of the acc==-1 check in the implementation? Wouldn't that fall into the previous branch? 21:42, 31 January 2026 (UTC)Treeplate (talk)
