serious(always italic) is an esolang, and a constant language(of sorts), that never halts. When interpreting a Serious program, the program string itself is ignored, and instead input is taken. Then, that input is ran as a Serious program. serious has one special case, which is when the program is the empty string. In that case, the Serious interpreter must halt. This is the only conditional.

serious's name must only be capitalized in the middle of a sentence, while at the start of a sentence, it must not be capitalized. There exists another language, called serious, which acts precisely the same, but it has the opposite rules of capitalization. There is also a third language called Serious, which is always capital. serious is the last of these variants, that is never capitalized. All of these languages may mistakenly be references when talking about Serious. serious has another special property, that its name may never be pronounced as /ˈsɪə̯.ɹi.əs/, /ˈsɪː.ɹi.əs/, /ˈsɪɹ.i.əs/, /ˈsɪɚ.i.əs/, /ˈsiɹ.i.əs/, /ˈsiə.ɹi.əs/, /ˈsi.ɹi.əs/, nor /ˈsɛː.ɹi.əs/, however any other way of pronouncing it is valid.

Examples

serious has a sort of Truth-machine:

anything here

Simply, if the input given is (empty), then it halts, else, it technically loops forever(since it cant halt until input is given).
