X is a language invented by a fictional character appearing here in the XKCD web comic. This comic could be considered the formal specification for the language but for the fact that it is rather incomplete. As such, what we have functions more as a definition for a class of languages that share the following properties:

• All variables are named x.
• It is possible to define at least two different variables but every different variable must differ in the font of the name x.
