Does anyone know when Piet was created? Even knowing the year would be nice. It must be before 2002 because according to its website it was featured in the MIT mystery hunt that year.

Hmmm, no idea. On the Piet page there reads "Copyright © 1990-2004", but I'm not sure if that means the time the author has been working on esolang stuff, or how long Piet has been around. :)

The former. Piet definitely did not exist in 1990.

I am thinking probably 2002 and possibly 2001.
